The mountains known as the Sierra de Cádiz contain beautiful forest of pine and oak trees all part of the National Park 'Los Alcornocales' (cork oak trees). On rocky cliffs with amazing views you find the white villages as Grazalema, Ubrique, Zahara de la Sierra and Arcos de la Frontera. The whitewashed houses still show us the defensive function of the 13th to 15th centuries, with walls and forts marking the former frontier (Frontera in Spanish) of the Moslims and Christian kingdoms.
