Speedy greens at Costa Ballena

After not having played the Friday Escape for a few weeks because of the rain we finally managed to go to the lovely sea side course of Costa Ballena in Rota. For some of the members it was the first time they plyed this course, so quiete an new experience. After a good pratcie session on the huge driving range we teed off while the wind was getting stronger and stronger along the way. Especially the second hole, a par 3 of 203 meters, played straight into the wind, I guess nobody hit the green in regultaion....
The course was in top condition with carpets as fairways ad pretty fast greens, I'm sure plenty of 3-putts have been made.
Winner of this Friday Escpae was Thomas IJland, going out with 16 points and coming back in with 16 point to win with a total of 32 points! Next time I will not take the price but I thought Mike Ryan would have shot a 36 or higher but for some reason he didn't. Runner-up was James Monro with 28 points total.
