Situated in the heart of the Viña Barrio, also known as the fishermen's Barrio and famous during Carnaval this restyaurant is the ultimate experience for people who love to eat fresh fish from the Bay of Cádiz. El Faro has a luxury restaurant and a very famous Tapas Bar. Here you can enjoy all sorts of local Tapas of fish, meat, salads and vegetables.
With the Bay of Cadiz on one side, the Atlantic Ocean on the other this restaurant was founded back in 1780 when it served as a dam between Cadiz and San Fernando. Here you can eat local fesh fish from the bay of Cádiz but also meat from the mountains of Cádiz. One of their speecialties is the appatizer 'toast with Foie gras and Pata Negra Jamon with marmelade of apple!
Restaurant La Fontanilla is located right at the Fontanilla beach in Conil de la Frontera. The chef, Pedro Pérez, is an absolute star in the preparation of local dishes as fish and seefish, meat and vegetables, all of the region. Apart of the great variety of selection on their menu, they serve lobster, meatballs of corvina, gambas with spinache, tortillas de camarones and langostinos de San Lucar. The absolute specialty of the house is the Urta a la Fontanilla.
Reataurant Venta La duquesa, situated along the road form Vejer to Mediana Sidonia is an ideal place to eat local food. Here you can enjoy dishes like partridge form the local fields to fresh fish from Conil. Their specialty is Rabo de Toro en Salsa (Bulls Tail with sauce). Venta La duquesa is famous for its Sunday lunch. They also serve great wines at a very good price.
