New society rolling handicap system
Trevor has been working on a society rolling handicap system to maintain competition more equally across all of the participants. Following upon the last three escapes handicaps have been revised as follows:
- Derek Roach (Provisional} 18
- Mike Ryan 17
- Ron Orton (Provisional) 28
- Trevor Taylor 20
- Jim Adams (Provisional) 19
- Jim Baker (Provisional) 13
- Jon Cox 26
- Karin Cox 30
- Marilyn Adams (Provisional) 31
- Elaine Taylor 35
Those marked provisional have not yet submitted the required 3 cards. The revised handicaps will have immediate effect but will be subject to further revision when 3 cards are available.
Future adjustments will be made as follows:
Any score over par (less than 36 points) the handicap will go up by 0.1. Any score under par (over 36 points) will be adjusted as follows:
- Handicap 0 to 12 cut by 0.1 point per shot under par
- Handicap 12 to 18 cut by 0.2 point per shot under par
- Handicap 19 to 36 cut by 0.4 points be shot under par
General Rule
Any new player must submit 3 cards to obtain a Friday Escape handicap (initially plays of club official handicap). Any player without a club handicap must play off scratch until 3 cards are submitted.
