Last week I have visited Santiago Zaval, an Argentinean PGA Golf professional (English speaking) in El Puerto Santa Maria. He just started his own Fitting Studio where he can analyse your golf swing and putting stroke into full detail. As we all know with golf it’s very important to get feedback of what your actually doing with your golf swing. Where does that irritating slice coming from and why can’t I hit the ball more precise form the tee. Santiago helps you with this and explains and more important shows you what is going on with your swing.

The putting system really got me going, I was practising for more than 3 hours working out things like the stroke direction, stroke rhythm and whether my clubface was open or shut in my backswing and follow through.

If you want to improve your game a visit to Santiago is a must!

also does club-fitting and repairs so if you need new grips, shafts or anything you know where to go.

Check out his website or cal him: 650.082.824

Saturday some of us played the Three Kings Tournament at Montenmedio. At the end it was a beautiful day with enough sunshine. I was in the flight with Tony Summers (managing director of La Luz magazine), Carlos Perez Plá (managing director of Montenmedio) and Michael Ryan (president of the BGSC). The course was in great condition for the amount of rain we had the last week. A job well done by the greenkeepers! After play we had some nice Tapas and drinks before Carlos started the price giving.

Winner of the tournament was nobody less than our Rules & Handicap Secretary Mr Jim Baker with 41 points! Congratulations Jim, well done!

Montenmedio will organize a monthly tournament so you will have enough opportunities to join the next one….Hope to see you there.

Kind Regards, Thomas.

Please do not forget to repair your pitchmarks people, it’s so annoying when you come on a green which is left with so much pitchmarks (a shame really)!!!And please do it the right way!

If everybody would just do 3 each green………….
